Now casting: Netflix’s ‘Ozark’ filming funeral scene

Are you ready to make your mark on Atlanta’s film and TV industry? Are you the next Tyler Perry? ATL is in need of young stars. Check out the Peach City’s latest casting call for your chance at fame. 

Jason Bateman stars in and directs this Netflix series, which focuses on the clandestine world of drug-money laundering. Laura Linney also stars.

What are they looking for?

Hispanic men and women age 16 to 90 are needed to portray key people in a still photo in a funeral scene.

The following specific roles are being cast:

  • Wife of a lead character (age 25 to 45)
  • Son of a lead character (age 16 to 18)
  • Archbishop
  • Police
  • Bodyguards
  • Mourners

If you’re a real family, you’re encouraged to apply and submit together. 

When are they filming?

Filming will be in Norcross on Dec. 22, and it will be a short day.

How much does it pay?

Pay is $80 for eight hours with overtime after that. 

How do I submit?

Send an e-mail to and put “MEXICAN FUNERAL” in the subject line. If you’re a real family, submit together.

Include current clear photos of yourself – one from the shoulders up and one from the knees up – and dress nicely for a funeral if you can. 

Include your first and last name, phone number(s), city and state where you live, email address, age, height, weight, sizes (men: jacket, collar, sleeve, waist, inseam and shoe; women: dress size, bust, waist and shoe).
