Now casting: ‘Ozark’ is seeking real musicians

Are you ready to make your mark on Atlanta’s film and TV industry? Are you the next Tyler Perry? ATL is in need of young stars. Check out the Peach City’s latest casting call for your chance at fame. 

Jason Bateman stars in and directs this Netflix series, which focuses on the clandestine world of drug-money laundering. Laura Linney also stars.

What are they looking for?

Real musicians age 18 and over of any ethnicity are needed to play in a quintet at an upscale event. You’ll be miming to playback, but you must look professional and proficient at playing and also need to own your instrument that includes the following:

· Cello

· Violin

· Viola

· Flute 

· Clarinet

When are they filming?

Filming will be in Atlanta on Dec. 14 into the evening, and you’ll need be to be completely open that day.

How much does it pay?

Pay is $350 for eight hours with overtime after that. It’s a non-union role.

How do I submit?

Send an e-mail to and put “MUSICIAN” in the subject line. Include current clear photos of yourself – one from the shoulders up and one from the knees up. You can also send a photo of you playing your instrument.

Include your first and last name, phone number(s), city and state where you live, email address, age, height, weight, sizes (men: jacket, collar, sleeve, waist, inseam and shoe; women: dress size, bust, waist and shoe). Also list which instrument you play and which you own or have access to.
