Atlanta named best city in US for creatives

If you’re searching for a city bursting with creativity, look no further than Atlanta. According to a new report from Workamajig, Atlanta has the country’s highest number of talent and creative outlets per capita.

The city’s art and music scene are hard to beat, from renowned museums to some of the world’s most celebrated music festivals. One Music Fest, Shaky Knees, the High Museum of Art, the Center for Puppetry Arts, The Carter Center, the College Football Hall of Fame and Museum, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and Fernbank Science Center are all among Atlanta’s cultural institutions.

The city also boasts an impressive roster of musicians who grew up here or moved here to pursue their dreams: Usher, Ludacris, TLC, OutKast, John Mayer, Kelly Rowland and Lil Nas X are just a few examples.

“Congrats, Atlanta — we’ve been ranked as the top city for creatives in the entire country! From museums to music festivals to the industries that make it all possible — Atlanta is the perfect place to foster creativity,” Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens, said in a Tweet.

“Everything we experience can be a stimulus for innovation. From a play to a city’s street art scene - these kinds of experiences promote a greater sense of well-being, encourage team collaboration, increase productivity, and enable creativity in countless ways.”

With 6,580 artists and musicians, 112 music festivals, 42 museums, 29 film festivals, and 1 Cannes Lions in 2022, it’s no wonder Atlanta is a top creative destination in the country.
