On Wednesday morning, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Academy surprised nearly 100 kids to launch the return of their annual Community Court Summer Tour at Lynwood Park.

The tour will continue in June and July at 14 Hawks community basketball courts throughout the city, offering pop-up basketball and fitness activities to youth ages six to sixteen. The special half-day sessions will emphasize staying physically active, character development, and having fun while teaching basketball fundamentals and fitness basics.

Because the tour is meant to surprise and delight, there will be no schedule, but the following locations will be included: Ron Anderson Recreation Center, Lynwood Park, Welcome All Park and Multipurpose Facility, Gresham Park, William Walker Rec Center, Bessie Branham Park, Central Park, the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center and Aquatic Center, Coan Park Recreation Center and Westside At-Promise Center.
